    Heavy driving instruction is for vehicles with a gross vehicle mass (GVM) of more than eight tonnes, while light driving instruction is for vehicles with a GVM of less than eight tonnes. Heavy driving instruction requires a higher level of skill and experience.

  • What is the difference between light, medium and heavy rigid vehicle licenses?

    Light rigid vehicle licenses are for vehicles with a GVM of less than eight tonnes, medium rigid vehicle licenses are for vehicles with a GVM of more than eight tonnes, but less than 15 tonnes and heavy rigid vehicle licenses are for vehicles with a GVM of more than 15 tonnes.
